Make your belt or bracelet vibrate when someone touches you.
With several textile techniques and electronics, we will make a simple interactive belt or bracelet. Using a soft switch and vibrating motors, tassles or feathers will be moving when someone touches you.
The workshop starts with an introduction into the world of smart textile and a demonstration of materials like conductive fabric and thread. We draw a pattern with electric circuits on them and in the afternoon we will make our accessories, guided by experienced workshop leaders. At the end of the day, we present our results to each other.
This entry level workshop does not require any knowledge of electronics.
10.00 - 10.30 coffee and getting to know each other
10.30 - 12.00 Explanation and introduction of electronics and smart textiles
12.00 - 13.00 lunch and brainstorm (Lunch is DYI)
13.00 - 13.30 drawing design and choosing materials.
13.30 - 15.30 making the belt or bracelet
15.30 - 16.00 Presentation
