Day 1 Masterclass Moving Textiles
Learn how to easily use motors to create shape-shifting fashion. The day will start with an introduction into the basics of soldering, electronics (including muscle wire), mechanics and electronic textile techniques. Working from practical examples participants will use the afternoon to make their own garments move and transform.

Day 2 Masterclass Light Textiles
Media artist Joachim Rotteveel and e-textiles designer Melissa Coleman will give participants an introduction into the exciting field of LEDs, electroluminescent wire, optic fibers and soft circuitry using conductive threads and fabrics. Working from practical examples workshop participants will use the afternoon to incorporate light in their own garments.

These workshops are aimed at fashion designers who want to learn about e-textiles. Participants will be required to bring a garment to work on.
