In this course you will get an introduction into technical materials such as conductive thread, fabric and paint. With these materials you will make sensors that provide input for simple electronics. One of the classes will consist of going to the cabfablab to lasercut a circuit from conductive fabric. At the end of the course you will have made a working prototype for extending a piece of clothing, a rug, a piece of furniture or a fabric with light, sound, feeling and/or soft sensors. Lessons will consist of 30 minutes of instruction at the most, after which you will be able to work on your own project. Experience with knitting/sewing/weaving, electronics and/or programming is welcome, but not a requirement.
